Reports on the aftermath of the earthquake that struck Haiti last week reveal the devastating extent of the damage and loss of life. At dLife, we share the grief and are seeking to mobilize our community to assist in the relief effort. In particular, our hearts go out to those many Haitians already suffering from high rates of diabetes who do not have access to insulin, supplies and hospitals.

Many of you have asked how you can help. The most effective way to help is through financial donations to organizations who operate in the region and that can quickly purchase the necessary supplies.

dLife will assist members as follows:
First, all proceeds to the dLife Foundation through March 31, 2010, will go directly to relief organizations assisting those in medical need in Haiti.

Second, dLife is connecting members with a variety of relief organizations including Insulin for Life. Insulin for Life is a non-profit organization that collects and donates insulin, syringes, test strips and other supplies to people in urgent need including the victims of the earthquake.
